Join us for February's coffee and happy hour

We made it through January! It's hard to believe that two weeks ago, we were getting ready for snow. As we go into Valentine's season, let's share some neighborly love and meet up at our monthly coffee and happy hour.

Our February coffee will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 7 at Verbena Coffee, located at 14029 Memorial Dr.

For our February evening gathering, we will meet from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at the home of Dawn Dudley, 14615 Cindywood Dr.

Brookwood tour and Lunch outing Monday, Feb. 17

On Monday, Feb. 17, the Women's Club will be going to lunch and on a tour of The Brookwood Community, located about 35 minutes away in Brookshire, Texas.

If you would like to carpool, we will meet at the Westchester pool at 9:45 a.m. and leave at 10 a.m. This will give us enough time to get to Brookwood and spend some time in their gift shop before lunch.

Our lunch group will be seated at 11 a.m. You will need to pre-pay for lunch. All prices include taxes, gratuity and credit card fees.

The three entree options are:

• Brookwood Salad Trio ($16.25)
• Crispy Eggplant ($20.25)
• Lemon Chicken ($21.50)

Water will be served with lunch, but you can choose to have Iced Tea or Tropical Tea for $5. Our dessert option is Red Velvet Cake, which will be $7. 

After lunch, we will have a tour of the Brookwood facility, where we will learn about the work that they do. You can learn more about The Brookwood Community at https://www.brookwoodcommunity.org/.
